SDV Team Two - Little Creek, Virginia
(Under Construction)
Getting
the SEAL insignia pinned on by Captain Gormly - the highest ranking frog on the East
Coast. You bet this was a happy moment in my life!
This
day was six full months from graduation day in San Diego. That's Kevin
(the black Irish) standing to my left, and the Reverend (Hubley) just past
him - Slebby on the end.
Pete
K. and I in heaven...well, almost heaven - West Virginia...Blue Ridge
Mountains...
Rappelling
on Seneca Rocks, West Virginia.
Rock
climbing via top-rope back to the top. This was suppose to be a weekend
getaway...!
Water
jumping with the British SBS. Cecil P. in front and Brownie behind me.
There's
no denying a Brit was the jumpmaster that day...check out our exit posture!
My
first platoon picture. Did I cut out Mr. Yates...?
STT
at A.P. Hill in the Virginia mountains. Hot, steamy, and miserable in
August.
Cecil
P. and I loading out for soft-boat navigation training.
...at
our destination on Vieques, Puerto Rico in the Caribbean Sea.
When
I returned from deployment, Hollywood was in town filming Navy SEALs and
I met up with Inst. (Keith) Woulard in Virginia Beach while he was taking a
break from filming. He invited me the next day (and the next, and the
next...) to be a part of the film. I
counted 50 frogs on the movie set (past & present) performing stunt-work. Here
I am with two of my buddies from 142 - fuzzy Bruce on the left and Al Moreno on
the right. (Al, if you read this, I tried contacting you Christmas of
either 1992/1993. I must have called half the Moreno's in Dallas!
Please contact me and let's catch up, cabron.)
Helo ocean recovery. We did much of this in the
Philippines...
